Hosted an Event at the Karuizawa International Curling Championships

We would like to thank you all for your continued support.

On December 18th and 19th of 2022, we organized an event for children with critical illnesses and their families with Sports Community Karuizawa Club (address: 332-4, Nagakura, Karuizawa, Kitasaku District, Nagano / chairman: Yoshihiro Onuma) and Hope & Wish for Children with Life-Threatening Illness and Their Families (address: 4A, Gojo Bld., Irifune, Chuo Ku, Tokyo / representative: Riki Osumi) at the Karuizawa International Curling Championships as part of our CSR activities.

We invited around ten children and their families to the event. The event was organized to spread the joy of curling as well as the charm of Karuizawa. We also wanted to provide an opportunity for the families to interact with one another and to encourage them to have an active social life.

With the help of the championship organizers, medalists from various countries joined us. We were also joined by Satsuki Fujisawa (Loco Solare) and Tsuyoshi Yamaguchi (SC Karuizawa Club), who gave curling lessons to the children. We also visited an amusement facility in Karuizawa.

The children were very excited about the rare opportunity to receive curling lessons from professional curlers. "I had a lot of fun playing with everyone." "It was my first time curling, but they were really good teachers. I enjoyed it." "The sound of stones hitting each other was really exciting. I want to do it again." We got a lot of positive feedback from the children, which reaffirmed the significance of communication and our projects.

We also received word from Mr. Onuma, chairman of SC Karuizawa Club, our partner in this event. "The children seemed really excited to see all the professional curlers in action. I hope this experience will have a positive impact on their future."

We would like to thank everyone who helped us put this event together. We will continue to organize and support funding, events, gatherings, fundraising projects, and other activities to tackle social issues surrounding children, such as education, health, and poverty, for a brighter future.

It is a non-profit organization that creates a place where "family," "life," and "happiness" can be nurtured together in society, based on continuous interactions between children suffering from critical illnesses and their families.
